Apis ancient bronze handmade Coriolis studs with detachable Dune Shell to be worn behind the earlobe.
Inspired by the lunar Mare Nubium (Sea of Cloud): a large, dark, region of the moon formed from molten rock by ancient volcanic eruptions. They were called mare, Latin for "sea", by early astronomers who mistook them for actual seas. The Dune Shell evokes the moon's sandy, waterless surface and the desire to explore unknown lands. The hurricane-like shells are inspired by the Coriolis force that creates the spiralling wind pattern in a hurricane. The stronger the force from the Coriolis effect, the faster the wind spins and picks up additional energy, increasing the strength of the hurricane. These earrings are a force of nature, wear with abandon.
